Our Tutoring Services
Academic Tutoring & Coaching
With the recent outbreak of CoVID19, we now have moved our curriculums, academic tutoring and homeschool options to offer virtual and distance learning. Please ask our staff for more information if you have questions about our process.
This program is suggested for those children who are struggling in a content area rather than study skills.
Learn the Ladder Method
This is our Signature Study Skills and Acceleration program. We teach your child our founder Candice’s 10-12 core meta-learning processes and life skills from A to Z. Get all her best tips each week.
This program is suggested for traditional learners who want to jump from a C to A or B to an A. For children with learning differences, we suggest her Learn how to Learn program first.
Learn How to Learn
This is our introductory Remediation course for children with learning differences and executive functioning struggles. We teach your child Candice’s meta-learning skills at a gentler pace so that the coaches can remediate gaps in executive functioning skills, academic skills, and social-emotional skills such as planning, resilience, emotional self-regulation, attention, and mindfulness.

Our Most Frequently Asked Tutoring Questions
What is Tutoring vs. Coaching vs Homework Help?
We make distinctions in our office between homework help, tutoring and academic coaching.
Tutoring
This service is best used for students who are struggling with the ability to understand a specific content area.
What this looks like in practice: Your child has been a great student but is now struggling with math or Chemistry or Upper-level English assignments.
There is a discrete issue that requires remediation.
They need a content expert who is an expert at a specific subject matter.
Coaching
This service is best applied for our students that are traditional learners but are struggling to get to the A in a class or set of classes. They may be at a C or a B.
We also suggest coaching for transition times such as the transition into Middle School or High School.
We work on the 11 tenets//elements of Candice’s Ladder Method to help boost this child to the top of their class.
What this looks like in practice: An inability to consistently get an A in a class or set of classes.
Homework Help & Accountability
These students are great test takers but lack follow through in getting homework turned in.
Either there is a larger Executive Functioning issue or a more traditional inability to understanding the micro-steps and timing of a bigger project and how to manage those steps in an order. See also planning.
What this looks like in practice: An inability to task manage might look a weakness to turn in homework on time, to understand what the micro-steps of a project are, how to prioritize them, how to allocate time for them and what steps go in what order.
